Grounding Practices

Frequency, Crystals, and a Trauma-Aware Way Back to Center

My spiritual awakening in February 2023 is when frequency work and chakra balancing became a real part of my practice, not as an aesthetic, but as a tool. Frequency and crystal work keep me centered before I walk into anything that matters, a hard conversation, a big decision, a stage. It's simple as that.

I want to be honest about something: a lot of chakra and energy work gets marketed in a way that ignores trauma entirely, as if everyone's nervous system is starting from the same baseline. It isn't. If you've lived through what I've lived through, your body holds tension in places a generic guide won't account for.

Why Trauma-Aware Matters

A trauma-aware approach doesn't ask you to bypass what's actually happening in your body. It works with your actual capacity on a given day instead of some ideal version of stillness you're supposed to perform. That distinction matters enormously if you're a survivor, or honestly if you're just a person carrying more than you can name.

I'd point you to A Trauma-Aware Seven-Chakra Practice for Overwhelmed Mothers on Homeketeers. It's a grounded, body-led approach that respects nervous-system capacity instead of ignoring it, which is exactly the kind of practice I mean when I talk about frequency and energy work.

Centering yourself isn't about performing calm. It's about actually getting there, on your body's own terms.

This is part of a small set of daily grounding practices I rely on. If you haven't already, take a look at the piece on meditation and journaling, and the one on breathwork and intention setting.
